That's what I'd describe as a harsh shift. Kind of like a jerk when it does it? Thts 4th grabbing before 3rd disengages. (slipping is what I had, the tach would rise between 3 & 4). The tranny manual lists a different "A" accumulator spring for each problem. E-mail me (macgyver900@yahoo.com) and I can scan the page for you. Oh, where did you get the replacement spring? Dealer or tranny shop or Errickson maybe? If Errickson I'd guess you got the right one. I'll be honest, I have little faith in the chain tranny shops, and an Indy who does trannies needs to let me meet someone who has fixed the same brand. I'll do a Dodge or Chevy in my garage, cause I've done a bunch, a SAAB Manual, but the 2 times I tried a Toyota auto it did'nt work quiet right, probably because I didn't have the factory manual. Or because the owner was trying to help.
My next project is the ZF from my parts car, It has reverse only, so that will be a new one! I wan't to have a spare in the shop, I thinking of re building it and when I get it right leave it in the car and work on getting the other one just right.
