How many turns when you replace spring?

Quasi,
My original spring broke - tripping the SRS.
I replaced it with a new one, but the instructions said to look on the spring body itself for a notation that would tell you how many turns you need to make when you install it.
Basically, instructions said wind it counter clockwise all the way - then (based upon a number somewhere on the piece that I can't seem to find) turn it clockwise XX number of times.
Where is this number? is it on the plastic or on the sticker or...???
TIA
