Auto Tranny fixed with replacement valve body

Recently I posted regarding an 88 9K turbo that fell into my lap. It had 2 major issues (once I solved all of the obvious). One was the ABS and Brake Fluid lights coming on at stops and the other was tranny issues. It appears that I resolved the tranny issues so I will discuss them. First, the symptoms: A delay followed by a hard shift when going from Park or Reverse to Drive. Also, while driving, if I kicked it down the engine would race but would not down shift unless I backed off on the throttle. From what I read from posts here I got the impression that both issues might be related to the valve body. (A - spring Accumulator??) Since I had a known good valve body (I had the valve body tested by Erikssons in Old Saybook, Ct when my tranny failed in a different car)so I decided to give it a try. I swapped in the good valve body and it cured both tranny issues. I took some pictures as I went to help anyone else who tackles the valve body. It is something you can do with the tranny in the car and it is done from the top. If anyone finds themselves in need I took pictures as I went to show the process.
