My '93 Aero has been exhibiting a bunch of electrical problems. Over the past few months, the TCS and Anti-Lock light on the dash have come on several times. In all but one instance, they went off again by themselves, either while driving or, more frequently, when I shut the engine and then started it again. Once my mechanic reset it (he saw nothing else wrong). In addition, a couple of weeks ago, my clock and radio both reset themselves (they both operated normally when the car was running and then reset when I shut the engine and started the car again). The clock has reset itself more than once. Last night, lots of crazy things started happening (all within one 45 minute drive): my headlights lights would dim and then brighten; the cd player went dead; twice the cd player suspended play when I turned on my high-beams; and the voltage readout on my dash was freaking out -- it was jumping all over the place between 12.9 and 13.9 volts, with no apparent pattern, and it was changing a couple of times a second (almost flashing). I parked the car, left it for a few hours, and when I turned it on again, everything was fine; I drove 1/2 hour with no problems. Then this morning, after driving an uneventful 1/2 hour to work, my power locks would not work. I had to manually open the locked driver door, and then I could not lock the car from the outside on the first few tries. It did eventually work.

ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS? I am bringing it to my mechanic this weekend, but he has seemed stumped by electrical issues in the past, and I'd like to be able to point him in some direction from someone else's experience.

A perhaps unrelated issue: my right turn signal sometimes sticks on (right only). It does not blink, and it does not shut off when the signal snaps back into place -- it just stays lit. I have to turn on the left signal to turn off the right.

Thanks!
