The steel sunroof is a little different. Arik has an excellent description for the glass sunroof. I assume your question is about a 1991 9000, which has a steel sunroof. This is a more difficult proposition. For this you have to open the sunroof (back), and pull off the trim around the opening. Close the sunroof half way and pull the front edge of the cover from the steel panel. Close the sunroof while pulling the cover down so that it is on the inside of the car. Now tilt the sunroof up. There are three Torx screws (T-25) on each side of the sunroof that hold it to the mechanism. Tighten those.
Put the cloth covered panel back on as the reverse of the above proceedure.
Then you're done. That is, if loose screws are really the problem. My rattle was caused by the tubes inside the roof that hold the sunroof cables. Hey, but maybe you'll get lucky.
