Have just sorted a similar problem on my 93 CDE. When locking with the key the locks would re-open straight away. Worse in wet weather. Also pictogram was not indicating when drivers door was open and then started to show open all time. Inside door lock switch would not lock doors when pictogram showed drivers door open or thought was open when ignition off. Problem is the drivers door open switch in the door internal latch. Problem simply solved by disconnecting switch cable plug inside drivers door.
To replace switch this is fastened to the latch and costs about £50 complete with latch (according to note on bulletin board by Roger in March who had same problem) but for the sake of £50 I can manage without a light that tells me if the door is open.
