How to check the DI

Take an ordinary piece of household electrical cord and split it into its two conductors. Strip a couple of feet of insulation off one. Remove the DI and the plugs, then put the plugs into the boots in the DI. Wrap the stripped wire securely around the threads of each plug, a couple of turns each, going from one to the next. Strip the other end back an inch or so and secure it under a well-grounded bolt. Make sure all the plugs are well grounded and that the tops are in good contact with the contact springs in the DI boots. Have someone crank the engine while you watch the plugs to see if they fire. No: Maybe the DI - check power, etc. Yes: Not the DI.
