It started with a bad accumulator, after replacing that one it turned out that the hydralic pump also was bad (weak).
With the new accumulator in place the pump didn't have enough Oomph to pressurize up to 180 bar, and therefore the pump just kept going and going.
Another problem that I have started to see more and more lately is that the black relay in ABS relay box goes bad.
That relay have to work a lot more when acuumulator is bad, since it need to switch on the pump more frequently, and it slowly burns the contacts of the relay.
It's a special kind of relay, so don't try with one that "just fits"
But that relay doesn't give the symptoms that you have.
So I still opt for the accumulator.
