Bob, I'm sure you saw my message regarding the global fuel map adaption, especially in the high load region.
The local adaption is based on the closed loop operation feed back info. There's no such fuction as open loop local fuel adaption. Global fuel adaption will not happen if no local adjustments are required. And with increased the boost level only, you don't want global adjustments to the fuelling look up tables. It's required only to compensate for vehicle specific differences in for example volumetric efficiency or fuel pressure.
If your product increases the max boost level say from 1 bar to 1.2 bar, it happens under open loop conditions - the signal from from the O2 sensor is disregarded. The fuelling look up tables probably extend quite a bit outside the normal operating envelope (to higher pressure levels), so if you're somehow beating the fuel cut off by manipulating some sensor signals, you might be relying on some safety related design feature in the parameters. MBCs do the same, I guess.
Please explain how the fuel adaption truly works with your product.
Regards,
Tapani
