98% of my driving is in urban city, so I'm happy to leave in D (4th). This keeps my mileage around 22-24mpg.
But when travelling on the hilly winding roads of interior BC province I often have to keep keep it in 3rd just to keep the revs in the sweet band 2500-3500 and and the turbo spooling.
My question is, is the 3->4 and 4->3 shifting hard on the auto tranny, especialy a new rebuilt like mine ? What about in the long run ?
Thx,
Ken
