Thanks for the compliment I'm feeling very fortunate. As to DI, I do not think it has been replaced. I don't think the heater core has failed at all. This is based on two 15 minute conversations with the two previous dealers that serviced this car. I'm trying to get my local Saab dealer to request the full svc histories from those two dealers - we'll see?.
Along my point from previous post, I think that heater core issues were taken care when Saab mfrd this '98. I feel they learned their lesson recalling earlier cores and must have improved it since, but I can't confirm. As for DI, I plan to lube the boots with dielectric grease as has been recommended here. I also plan to have the correct plugs with correct gap to prevent probs. I'll talk to my dealer as well.
BTW, I plan to keep this baby a long, long time and I put over 30,000 mpy on my cars. Sorry dude.
