I've owned many cars with ACC on them.
As a whole, the saab on my '94 Aero is nice, and probably on par with others in terms of reliablilty. I'm currently having a little trouble, but I won't bore you with that here. I like the programabiliy of ACCII and like the econ mode.
My Audi S6 had a wonderful system. Very easy to use and transparet, and never a problem.
My wifes Audi A6 had the same system and every damn servo motor in the system blew - at seperate times. $500 a pop to fix finally got my wife so pissed she dumped the car.
The ACCII on our new Odyssey minivan is nice, but is lacking 2 things. On start-up it doesn't remember where you were (for fan speed) and doesn't realize the car is stone cold, so it blasts the fan in order to get the cabin to temp (which it can't as the motor is cold). Other than that, its ok.
The ACCII on my '95 Porsche is the best I've seen. Super simple and it works. In fairness, the fan speed is not auto on the Porsche, only the temp. Very basic, but for an air cooled car, I'm surprised how well it works.
Volvo - tremendous trouble with air conditioning compressors- on the 850 at least.
That's my 2 cents guys
