I've only had the car since spring so no basis for comparison other than my NRWs. I find the ride painfully harsh with the FZ4 and there's no reason for tires with so little tread (they have about 6/32" left) to be so noisy. ( I bought the car in a province with real roads unlike the pitted horse trails we have to drive on here ).
I run them at 32lbs to try to ease the ride a bit.
Don't know how much of the ride is due to the tires and how much is due to stiff 1993 Aero suspension but the ride is much better with the NRWs, but the handling is much worse (remember, I went to 15" and narrower so the handling drop is to be expected).
When I buy new tires they won't be FZ4s. I will be looking for the tires that provide the best ride first, silence second, handling third, and tread life last. Here on the flat prairie straight ahead stability and good ride is more important than cornering ability. If I lived in a place with real roads my priorities would be different.
Strangely, the FZ4 is supposed to be an all-season performance tire. Well, all-season if you live in a place with no snow I suppose.
