94 Aero with 130k. Replaced two scuffed pistons and all seals, gaskets, timing chain, springs, etc. My only concern thus far is the temp is dancing around. I know they put a new thermostat in (I guess the warm one because of the season here in maine)and I am assuming that the car may run a little warmer because many things are new and tight. I have put on about 200 miles since getting it back, and was told to take it easy for at least 500 miles. The temp guage seems to randomly sneak up to 10 oclook, when it always used to stay at 9. Sometimes when it sneaks to 10, it will suddenly drop in a freefall back to 8-9 oclook, almost as fast as the guage would fall when you shut the car off. I have never seen that before. does this sound normal?
