Same make/model/year - same problem! If you put the computer on volts, does it roam around a lot? Mine goes from 14.2 or so down to 13.0 or less. Usually when the power drops out the voltage drops pretty low momentarily (12 something).
I posted this question several months back and got the following ideas:
- alternator
- wiring/ground problem
- battery
- ignition switch
- I changed the regulator/brush assembly and it did no good.
- Wiring looked good and grounds were clean
- Changed the battery and the problem went away! for about a month or so...
it just came back the other day
- haven't tried the ignition switch idea yet
Also my APC fuse blew a couple weeks ago and smoked part of the ECU. Car still runs fine but no APC. SRS light is on too. My mechanic reset it but it still comes on. I'm afraid the voltage jumping around may be frying things, so be concerned! I'm on the verge of doing the alternator. Let's figure this thing out.
