The only plugs for the 2.3 turbo engines, Aero or not, are the NGK resistor plugs NGK BCPR 7ES or 7ES-11. The latter are pre-gapped but there is always discussion on this board as to what is the best gap, with most people preferring either 0.9mm or 1.0mm. Saab's official range is 1.0mm +0.1/-0.2). However, on the performance board respected gurus like Dr Boost insist that the 1.1 gap is king and will quote you plenty of backgound info. And I guess even a pre-gapped plug should be checked before installation. As you know, the "7" indicates the heat range and normally-aspirated 2.3 cars use "6"s.
A little while back, some of us tried the NGK Platinum plugs specified for the 9-5 range and were not convinced, plus Johnny from Maptun wrote to me explaining why they were less effective than the older-technology BCPR range.
