Broke an exhaust manifold bolt...Now what?

Actually, I think it was already on its way out anyway.
I had posted a question a few weeks back concerning how I would see tiny water bubbles eminating from the exhaust manifold/gasket at the point where this bolt "used to" be. This would occur at cold-engine start-up.
As I was doing an oil change today, I noticed that area was also building up some black sludge. So I figured the bolt must be loose, causing the water to escape as well as the exhaust gases.
I was able to spin a ratchet freely on it (I was also able to turn it by hand), so I thought it must be pretty loose. As I continued to tighten it, it decided to snap off. I was barely putting any pressure to the ratchet handle. My guess is that it was already starting to break off, and my turning it just finished the job.
Anyway, the other half of the bolt is now embedded into the engine block. This happens to be the last bolt on the driver's side of the engine (#4 cylinder).
What do I do? If I have been driving all this time with the bolt as it was, is it critical that it gets fixed immediately? What happens if I wait?
Is this something to be brought to a dealer or an indie? I'm a tried-and-true DIY'er, but I don't feel like drilling out this bolt and re-tapping the threads. Unless there's another way around this that someone might know of.
Any and all tips/advice are much appreciated!!!
TIA
Joe
