wanting to pull out the Strut mounts for examination.. something 'clunks' ocaisionally, annoyingly in an otherwise fine riding car. Now I've removed the Strut mounts on other cars by using the cars weight as a spring compressor.. ie: Undo the top Shock bolt with the car on the ground, then use a Floor jack to slowly raise the car, which lifts the car up off of the springs, uncompressing them as it lifts. Refit is simply a reversal.
Would this work on a 9000 or is there way too much spring preload?
