That is not particularly good news. There is a chance that the oil pressure switch is defective, but you need to get the real oil pressure checked very soon. There is a possibility that the oil pressure relief valve is stuck open, which is an easy fix. The oil pickup screen could be blocked, but that would be an indication of sludge in the crankcase. If the oil has been changed regularly since purchase that should not be a problem.
Talk to your mechanic.
