I don't know about better prices - but as far as quality for the price
goes, Maptun was the best I could find for my particular application.
I have a B234R motor with the 'Green Giant' (Volvo/Bosch) injectors.
AFAIK, Maptun is the only tuner, besides Dr. Boost, that can program
them in the T5. Obviously, Sweden (and Switzerland) have a much
wider knowledge base, when it comes to the T5 - or the T7's, & T8's,
for that matter. I would highly recommend Maptun, especially if one
were considering upgrading at a later point - to further reprogram,
they'll only charge $60. Say you decide to upgrade hardware - add a better IC or headers - Johnny will only charge you $60 to 'upgrade'
the program to take into account the hardware changes. But anyway,
as far as the quality goes, my software gives me stupendous power,
yet, the car's still a Saab - very dependable, safe, and fun to drive.
With a larger intercooler, exhaust and intake, and Maptuns' software, I'd wager that my engine runs at lower temperatures than a stock Aero does.
