Simon,
If this is a valid method for disconnecting the whole
thing without losing power, then I would think that
a simple method would be to install a switch that is
able to interrupt the power supplied to the ABS relay,
thereby shutting off this system without having to
remove anything each time - any thoughts ?

My preference in this matter would be to have NO TCS,
meaning - a switch, or a disconnection which renders
it permanently off, brain dead, or otherwise out of
commission - I do not wish to change big parts, pay
big bucks, or fight with it ~after~ it has stranded
me on an icy hill; I just want it to be gone...

Ralph - one of the more expensive repairs I have had
done to date was the replacement of the throttle body.
This arcane part, seemingly made by voodoo, and which
apparently has neither diagnostic connections nor any
repairability is very frightening to me to even
consider touching - let alone 'adjusting' !!!
For something little bigger than my fist to cost almost
as much as an entire tranny job does not make me want
to touch the damn thing - so, is this throttle plate
you mentioned in that exact part ??

Jeff - if your TCS in your a/t car works well, then I
say "God blessed you !".
I have yet to hear another sould comment in any good
way about TCS on a 92/93 9000.

Driving an a/t car is no solution for me though; when
the day comes that I am ready to drive without a 5 sp,

I will just get a turbo, a/t, Volvo wagon, and remember
my Aero as the most beautiful, most perfect car I have
ever had - except for the TCS, ACC, A/C, and the biggest
repair bills I have ever paid !!!

There - any more info will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks folks.

mark
