OK,
I am getting closer to moving on one of these...
The '91 is in good shape, 140K miles, new AC, new DI, and overall good service except, the ABS and SRS lights are on? $2.5K
The '92 is in good shape, 133K miles, new Timing chain, new AC, new DI, new ball joints, TCS repair in '00, muffler in '01, CV boots in '02, and overall good service with a service list totaling $7900 since '98 (ouch!) $3.5K
Both are black/tan, auto trans. Which one do I choose? I hear so much talk about staying away from auto trans cars with TCS so... that steers me to the '91. But, the '92 seems to be in better overall condition? Do I look for a manual trans car?
OK, Let me throw in a green/tan '92 manual trans w/165K miles. Good condition, new DI, new AC, new belts and hoses. But, the clutch is starting to slip a little at times. Asking price is $300 less than the black '92 above. Do I go this route due to the manual? Is the replacement cost cheaper than an auto?
Right now I am leaning towards the black '92 because it seems to be the best buy in terms of service history and "ready to drive" ability.
Give me your thoughts...
