I didn't knew about diesel/LPG conversions. Since LPG has such an high octane, I had thought that it was impossible. Diesel fuel is made in order to have a low octane behaviour, and a diesel engine won't even start with gasoline (petrol).
What's the cost of diesel fuel over there? here it's about 80 eurocent/litre, fuel is 1.1 euro. LPG 55 eurocent more or less.
Do you have methane conversions too in England? We have. Pro: you save more than on LPG (running costs: gasoline 100, LPG 60, methane 35), no dirt in oil or combustion chambers even after the whole life of the engine. Cons: heavier and bigger tank, little autonomy, performances losses and poor avaiability.
So much answers, but none to my first question! Always glad to chat about cars and countries, anyway.
Stefano
