I still say by exercising the piston the full length of the cylinder bore a few times(the more the better), you stand a good chance of cleaning out the crap that is binding the piston. If it does not work, than you can replace it. It will cost you about an hour of work. You probable have some corrosion from some water that got into the brake hydraulics. Non synthetic brake fluids gradually absorb water. Chances are the other calipers also have some XXX build up and could use some preventive medicine now before they too sieze up. Although I only did the one frozen caliper, but I completely flushed the entire system and filled it with Valvoline synthetic brake fluid. It was a 1988 Volvo Turbo wagon with some 225,000 miles, many of which were on salty New England roads. One other thought, remove the brake pads to make sure the pad metal plates are not bound up in a rusted up caliper track.
