I am not 100% sure but sounds like your blower motor resistor. If you only have high & off than i would be sure that it is the resistor. The blower motor runs at one speed and the resistor regular the speed, if the resistor is bad you only get high.
I have been fighting this gremlin in my wife 9000 and final got the resistor today will install tonite.
There is a bigger issue than just the resistor. The resistor went bad because you motor is pulling to many amps. Depending on your model the resistor is easy to change. My first try at removing the motor took 3 + hours. So if the resistor is blow the motor is bad and you need a new blower and resistor. And from reading some other post you should change out other items while you have the blower out. Do some searches and get some better info than i can provide.
FYI, new resistor will run aroung $75, and a little more or less for the motor.
