The amount of work isn't small. How hard it is depends on your skill and experience level, and how much time you want to put into it.
The best approach is to swap the entire engine and Engine control system (boxes, wiring harnesses, etc), along with associated plumbing.
You can't just swap over the turbo. There are a lot of reasons for that. The first is that the NA engine has a higher compression ratio, and throwing a turbo on will cause massive detonation followed by a smoking mass formerly known as engine. Yes, you can modify the system to run at lower boost, but frankly, if you've got that level of skill, swapping the whole engine is pretty easy.
Of course, the turbo comes with plumbing - wastegate, APC, and the like. Without that stuff you'll overboost, and well, see the previous paragraph.
Turbos push in more air, and to keep the mixture right, you need more fuel. You need the turbo's fuel system -FPR and the like.
Lastly, there are some fun little one-way vacuum valves to remember. Turbos provide pressing in places NA engines don't, so sometimes one-way valves are placed in lines to prevent stuff like pressurizing gas tanks.
If the engine in the donor car is in really good shape, your present car is in really good shape, including running gear, and you're up for an engine/wiring harness swap, then it isn't a bad idea.
If you're thinking you can just bolt on the turbo, yes, you can. But the results won't be pretty, but the upside is it won't be around for long.
