First, I'm not trying to circumvent the classifieds, as I'm not yet seriously considering selling my car, but I'd like some learned advice about fair market values. I checked the value on KBB.com and it came in around $3200, but I find this hard to believe. I'll outline the details here...can anyone tell me what I could realistically expect to receive? The car's a 93 9KCSE 2.3 5sp w/ 280Kmi. The engine has only about 180K on it, due to a replacement 3yrs ago. The body is in fair condition with one damaged front fender. The interior is flawless and all the toys work with the exception of the AC, which needs a recharge at best or an overhaul at worst. At the moment the car also needs at least on front wheel bearing and a brake job soon. I have at least 7yrs. worth of receipts and records, including one for body work after an accident in '97. The car runs great and looks good, but it's a 10yr old car with close to 300K on it. I'm a diehard Saab fan, and will surely buy another, but even I would hesitate to shell out $3K. Does anyone in the Northeast have an experienced opinion about a fair private party market value?
