Head gasket replacement procedure...same as 900? Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I recently bought a '88 9000T. I now need the head gasket replaced. Few questions:
1-I have a Bentley Manual for my 900S. Will the teardown and reinstall of the head and internals be the same, as they are both 2.0L? What about the intake manifold? I am almost positive i can handle the externals.
2-I was looking at the headgasket kit from eeuroparts.com This is basicly everything that I should need right? How recommended or required is replaceing the head bolts? Need a special Saab tool or just a torx socket?
3-Anyone have any hints/tricks for keeping the timming straight on this while I do this?
Thanks, ANY reassurance boosters for this would be great as it is going to be my first tear in on a Saab engine. :-) Yeay.
Thanks,
JustinHiFi
