The wheel sensor wire is a coaxial type wire. The sensor cable is pigtailed- namely, the wire comes right out of the wheel sensor and ends in a connector up by the windshield.
when you replace the sensor, you get a sensor/cable combo. There is no way to replace just the cable. As much as this seems like a stupid idea, it isn't. The sensor has a very small signal output in a very (electrically) noisy and harsh environment. A connector would not survive at the wheel hub. A splice will not survive at the wheel hub, and will compromise the sensor signal.
Some folks may have had luck splicing a coax wire in, but I don't recommend it. And I *love* cheap work-arounds. It might work, or you may end up with lots of intermittent ABS failures. The proper fix for a bad cable is to replace the sensor/cable as the single unit it is.
