Let's backtrack and see what we have. Your car ran Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: What else can be wrong with my 9K Turbo??? Plz Help!, James H., Sat, 26 Apr 2003 22:24:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
perfect and suddenly died, and it was determined that the fuel pump was dead? You put a used pump in and now the car wont start? Did you by any chance change the white check valve in fuel lines? Maybe the wrong line (return) got the new check valve installed?
Is it a chance that the two fuel lines got cross connected into the new pump?
When and after the fuel pump died, did the engine still crank over when turning the ign key?
Before you installed the new fuel pump relay, was it determined that no battery power reached the fuel pump during cranking? You have power at the fuel pump ONLY when the engine is cranked over by turning the ign key.
The reason for my questions is that it's rare that two different parts breaks down at the same time, and it might still be a bad (used) fuel pump or it might not have been the fuel pump in the first place, but something else.
Get back with some answers and we can take it to the next step.
