Anders,
The check valves are in the correct location, otherwise, I would have fuel squirting everywhere. When the fuel pump died, the engine was till cransk over without any problem. When I crank over the engine, I do not see the RPM needle move like it should, should I? I can hear the fuel pump now when I have someone turn over the igition I am in the back listing for it. At one point, I put some starting fluid in the throttle plate area and the car started and ran for 2 minutes and died again.
Now, I have a second used fuel pump in the car, because I thought the first one I got was bad, so the place I bought the pump from sent me a newer pump to try it out.
Now, I am back to sstep one and hoping that someone from this board will be able to help me. Thanks so much for your input and suggestions.
