I think the 'stock' Saab rotor is no real advantage to several aftermarket brands. Sounds like you are having them put on by your mechanic rather than doing yourself. I think you can do all 4 rotors (Zimmerman), and 4 sets of PBR Deluxe pads for about $200 in parts from a couple of the Saabnet sponsors. Just in case you want some incentive to learn DIY. Mechanic may allow you to buy parts, but pay him a bit extra...

Back to your question, I like Deluxe very much. Heard good things about EBC, but a few of the guys on this board who have tried them have been dissapointed with dusting and durability. Some of that may have been due to using drilled or slotted rotors, but even one who used regular was not pleased with quick wear. At 3X the price of Deluxe, why bother.

The Deluxe has been virtually dust free for me, and seems to brake as well as OEM. They also were about 50-60% worn, or less, with 95,000mi on my '87 9k. So I've had good luck with them holding up on my Saabs.

Think you'll also find other guys that have been very pleased with the Deluxe. Sounds like you've already done some research.
