Let's see, I've had an '86 9000Turbo and a '95 9000 CSE - both with turbos also a couple of '91's with N/A engines. I've never gotten a ticket with the N/A cars but couldn't keep the cops off my ass with the turbo editions. I think it has to do with the acceleration that the cops view coming off a light or out of a toll booth.
With the N/A 9000's, I would keep up with traffic ( stay in the pack). Just the opposite with the turbos. My terminal speed was the same 65 +++/- but I got there MUCH quicker. The troopers see that and figure "Hell he's got to be speeding!!" At that point, they can give you a ticket for anything the choose.
I've alternated between a turbo and a N/A 9000 just to keep my insurance rate somewhat reasonable. The N/A car gets me through the 3 year penalty period.
Oh well, what we need is a stealth 9000!!!
