The TCS is essentially a throttle-by-wire system. The gas pedal is connected to a sensor, and through the TCS box, it tells a motor in the throttle body to open the throttle. In Automatic tranny cars it's fully throttle-by-wire; in manual tranny cars, there is a back-up cable, but it only kicks in during limp-home.

Eliminating TCS entirely involves installing a gas pedal, cable, and throttle body from a non-TCS car. The TCS is tied into the ECU and ABS, which complicates things.

Some TCS cars never have a problem. Some TCS cars are nothing but problems. In between are TCS cars with an occasional problem. The most common ones are related to dirty sensors/connectors, especially at the gas pedal side. There is also a vacuum switch on the false firewall that occasionally goes bad.

If your particular '92 isn't having TCS problems, then I wouldn't go out of my way to try and remove it. And if it does have a minor problem, fix it and move on. In my opinion, only if it shows up to be a persistent problem is it worth trying to remove it.
