service bulletin on this. I don't think it was for a '97. I think some rubber hydraulic hoses were defective.
I had that happened to me right after a traffic light, the rubber hose broke leaving no cluch. I just had enough forward momentum to pull into a shopping mall parking lot in below freezing weather after a big snow storm with my then toddler in the back seat. We went into a resturant in the mall for lunch and the tow truck showed up right after lunch :-).
