Yep, happenned to me. Fortunately I was parked outside my house at the time so I wasn't stranded anywhere. I got in the car, put my foot on the clutch and it went straight to the floor! The join between the flexible hose and the pipe had split. Got a new one and replaced it. Bit of a bugger getting the old one off, I think it had been put on by a demented gorilla.
