Well identifying the ATF can be tricky. Best clue is that ATF is a dark red color, so the stuff floating on top of the coolant will have a pink color. Might try taking a small bit of paper towel and dipping it just slightly into the coolant so it soaks up a little fluid and maybe you can identify the color. Another possibility would be to take the car to an experienced mechanic - they might be able to tell by the smell.
If ATF and coolant *have* mixed, replacing the radiator is a must. You're also supposed to use a special procedure to flush the system.
Saab had one or perhaps several TSB's (technical service bulletins) / recalls for this problem in the earlier 9000's - you might want to go to alldatadiy.com and subscribe so you can view them. They give a good explanation of everything that has to be done in case of coolant contamination.
