A removeable trailer hitch for the 9K is available as an accessory for the paultry amount of only $400. I found a used one on Ebay for $200 and bought it, with the thought of borrowing my neighbor's small trailer for runs to the nursery or Home Depot (<2 miles) on rare occasions. To date I haven't used it, but I would never haul anything heavy or any payload for long distances in this '95 Aero.
RedAero93 is right, the hitch is little more than a square tube with some mounting plates welded to it, the hitch rod, ball, chain, wiring, and a brace that fits inside the spare-tire well--maybe $50-worth of hardware. Oh, yeah--it's painted black, so maybe that's where the remaining $350 comes from. I had to drill holes to install the brace, as none were there, though I thought installation would not require drilling. Other holes in the bumper, etc., were pre-drilled, and the wiring link is located near the left rear light assembly.
