Lu, I figured I had missed some information in my original post.
Of course the voltage pulses from the ECU vary depending on engine
load and other information from other sensors to be able to control
the opening of the flap inside the AIC valve. But shouldn't there be
a way to electrically test the valve, for instance measuring the voltage with the ignition key turned to the "on" position or taking a reading while idling and then opening the throttle flap (in this case the edu should try to close down the flap in the valve to compensate for the extra air passing by the throttle) all that while taking reading off the multimeter so you get a good solid idea whether things are working or not.
You know as my frustration grows, I start looking into weird things like that which really doesn't make a whole sense to everyone else and I TRULY understand.
