Since my 9K is OBD-II, is there any way to pop out the codes myself without having to pay someone to use one of those expensive hand-held devices at the dealer?
I'm thinking I could jump some pins within the diagnostic area under the steering wheel, and the CEL will blink, spitting out codes. Am I hoping for too much here?
The car is running fine, have plenty of boost (no "limp-home" mode). Been running with the a/c on regularly for the last 3 days (damn hot here in CT), which I don't normally do. When the light popped on, I noticed that the outside temp gauge started fluctuating, heading up to 108 and hovering around 104, when it had been a steady 94 the whole time before the CEL illuminated. Does this mean anything?
Car is maintained religiously. I also have a re-mapped ECU (have had it for 8 months now), if this means anything.
Any ideas???? Anyone????
