I'm not sure, but I think the stock setting for
an Aero is 18 psi or somewhere close to that.
The stock max-booost is normally about 16 psi.
You could try to drive around the cut-out, but I
would suspect it will become a pain in the ass after
a while. It probably is not the best for the whole
driveline if you keep hitting the cut-off. Lots of shock
loads to the whole system.
You probably just have a bad vacuum line, either
from the BPC valve to the waste-gate actuator or
the line to the MAP sensor.
I would fix the problem. It is not a good thing
to have your boost-control system out-of-control.
If you like the added power in your present malfunctioning
boost control system, then I suggest you look into a reprogramed
ECU from one of the Swedish tuners.
You will have the same, or more, power and the system will
be totally safe for your motor. Think about an Aero with 260+
horsepower and 300 ft-lbs of torque for around 1K.
