Hello --
I had to replace a burned valve and was able to compress and remove the springs using a c-clamp and a tubular piece of plastic that was made for this purpose -- it has openings in the sides for sticking a magnatized screwdriver down there to remove the retainers. However, in trying to get it back together I've rented/borrowed several different types of valve spring compressors and none of them fit the Saab head. Using my removal method (c-clamp) I can't reach the top of the valve well enough to reinsert the retainers. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated (brand/type of valve spring compressor/technique) Thanks! Joe
