Right on Brian,
Believe it or not, I have learned over the years to ALWAYS check the "dumb" things first. I once had a guy bring a Plymouth Barracuda to me that would not charge the battery or start. He replaced the battery, starter and voltage regulator. What he didn't do, and I did for him, was to tighten the fan belt. He drove away somewhat disgusted, but happy.
Actually, my plugs are very light-colored. They would compare to a vehicle running very lean, and that is what it seems like while driving. Like it's starving for fuel, although mileage is not too good (19 Ml/G).
As har as cleaning the AMM and throttle body and the AIC, what do I do? Simply spray in something like starter fluid (after removing from the car), or brake cleaner, which I find is a very good degreaser. Is it possible to damge any component with any type of cleaner. I am thinking that a blast of compressed air may not be the best for the AMM. What fo you think?
Thanks for the tip on fuel injectors. I have been told by others that running a good cleaner through the system is a good idea. Techron is what they mentioned.
I will go ahead and install the new O2 sensor, only now I have to wait until I get the cast off of my arm. I broke it yesterday and is a little hard to use.
Dave
