TRJ answered a good bit, but I'd like to add-
Shop manuals - yes, there is no Bentley, but the Haynes isn't too bad. The Haynes 900 can be of some use because the engines are pretty similar. I get a lot more use out of my Bentley 900 16V manual for work on the 9000.
In addition to the Haynes, get the Electrical Supplement for the 9000. The 'shop' manual for the 9000 is actually a series of books on different topics (engine, brakes, transmission, electrical...) for different years. Get the '89 Electrical Supplement. It is far and away the best electrical manual I've ever used. Trying to fix electrical problems without a schematic is almost impossible.
Windows - what's the problem? Are they running slow, or do the windows come up crooked? Quite often slow windows aren't the regulators, but the switches. The switch contacts pit and corrode, and pass less current. Less current means slower windows. Placing the switches where many drinks spill doesn't help, either. Before I started ripping window regulators apart, I'd disassemble and clean the switch contacts. Be warned, this is a little tricky - small springs, and be very careful noting which way things go together before you take them apart. But that can fix many window problems.
