Yeah, I'm looking in the audio equipment manual right now. Voltage for both the stock and aftermarket amps are the same, but for the current, Saab says "less than 15 amps", while the new amp has a 25 amp fuse. Oof. Oh, and I will be replacing the old amp entirely. The place that installed my cd player bypassed it entirely, but they left all the old wiring in place. I was hoping I could use that, rather than running all new stuff.
Nice to know there's a good spot to pull a new cable through, though. On my last car, we (actually, a friend of mine. I was clueless.) had to force it through another, already used hole. Oh it got all leaky and wet and cold and.. ugh.
I guess I'll give the stock wiring a shot. If my car burns down, I'll run a new wire, heh.
