Master Cylinder and ownership woe's general question...

I THINK my master cylinder failed last night on the way home on my 94 Aero. Clutch went to the floor and wont come back up unless you pull it up, then it will stay for a second and settle back down to the bottom. Had it towed. Im not sure how much this will set me back. My question/comment is: I had an engine job last year, last month it was my DI, now my master. The significant other is really getting fed up with the costs of the ole girl (who is in great general shape) However, I know there will be more to fix given the year and mileage (140k). We are in a position where we cant really sell it, because it probably wont cover what we have in it. then it would be starting from scratch with a more expensive newer model (which would be tight to pay for) She is making noise about no more saabs...dont know if I can do it. Is anyone else in the same position? At what point do you cut your "losses"?
