Steve,
First, soak all the nuts for a few days with your favorite penetrator. Also remove the radiator. It makes everything easier. It takes 5 minutes and its a good idea to drain the coolant anyway, 'cause otherwise it spills when you remove the coolant lines.
Second, when removing the coolant lines, see if you can leave the top line on the turbo and disconnect it of the rubber hose. The botton line is more easily disconnected at the Water pump. I found that its very easy to damage the thread while the turbo is in the car and your working with wierd angles and the springiness of the lines. Besides its much easier to undo a hose clamp, anyway.
Third, clean the surface after the exhaust manifold has been removed. I don't remember what I used but something that is effective.
Forth, Torque the four bolts on the mani that connect the turbo. If not properly torqued that spot will leave, and that's no fun. Beleive it or not the torque value of them bolts there is 30 pounds.
Fifth, don't loose the little gaskets for the oil lines or better yet buy new ones for eeuroparts. The one for turbo/manifold is listed for 900 but its the same as 9000.
Good luck,
Roman
