I have been looking, and have not found any source. You can try Goldwing and Mile High who both sell a lot of used Saab parts. They didn't have any last week. Make a call to your local junkyards and watch eBay.
Be aware that there are two part numbers. One is for a newer version with the center 5 contacts gold-plated. This is supposed to be more reliable.
As far as I know these are not repairable, though I am going to take mine apart and see after it is replaced.
To test, check the resistance.
Between pins 1 and 7, it should be under 200 ohms. Move it through its range and check that at any point when holding the plate still it is under 200 ohms. It will jump up while you move it.
Between pins 2 and 6 the resistance should always be somewhere aroud 1000ohms. Between 2 and 4 it should be it should be around 5-50 ohms with the throttle closed, and around 1000 with the throttle open. Between 4 and 6 it should be around 1000 with the throttle closed and around 200 open. Our 9000's seem to tolerate significant deviation from these values. When mine goes into limp home mode, I am seeing values more like 6,000,000 ohms-- essentially no connection.
Between pins 3 and 5 resistance should be around 27,000ohms with the throttle closed, and should drop to around 500 as you open it.
If all of these values check out both when it's hot and when it's cold, you should probably keep looking for other problems.
Let me know if you need any more details.
Good luck
