Was wondering if my 89 cps were to fail if I Posted by DickT [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: 88-89 ABS and EZK interchangeability, KeithR, Mon, 29 Sep 2003 18:42:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
could I put in the 88 distributor and hook up the two wires to the cps leads? Also the antilock light is on all the time in the 88. Pump works though and fluid light goes out. I thought I would first clean all connectors and flush fluid and if that didn't help swap in the 89 controller to test since townsend says you can safely put in a 90 controller in 88 and 89 for diagnostic purposes.
Funny you should mention headlight lenses. 89 left lens is really scratched and the left on the 88 has 2" of water in the bottom. Both rights are good. The body on the 88 is in much better shape than my 89 and it has 70k less miles and I've considered moving the good parts from the 89 to it at some point. Downside of this is the 88 is an auto in questionable shape and at its previous home the interior got really wet and mice moved in. I've cleaned it and dried things out but it's still kind of moldy.
