O2 sensor? ...... and a sincere tear-jerker ending

Thanks Ari. My mechanic thinks the O2 sensor is bad because (I dont know what tool he used, maybe just checked output voltage with a multimeter, should ask next time I talk to him) he can see that the O2 sensor does not cycle between too rich and too lean while the engine is running. It just goes to too lean and stays there. The O2 sensor is one I bought from Sobstory and installed by cutting and crimping the wires myself. What with antifreeze and A/c oil spilling on the joints it could have gone bad. However, before I plonk down the green for an OEM O2 sensor I will have to check the FPR to eliminate it.
.....as always nice analysis.....and thanks for hanging around and helping people like me.
I am considering replacing the old girl and am just dying to buy another Saab - maybe a manual aero this time - and the support on this bulletin board does a lot to convince me to go that way.
